Younger sister of Jewish schoolboy, 12, who was forced to kiss the feet of a Muslim classmate in a Melbourne park is sent a sickening taunt online

Melbourne - A Jewish family targeted by vile racist bullies are under attack again, after their 12-year-old daughter became the victim of foul social media taunts.

The family, who live in Melbourne, have endured the year from hell after their son, now 13, was forced to kiss the feet of a Muslim classmate.

In photographs which evoked horror across the world, the little boy was seen being taunted in a park near his school, being forced to kneel on the floor to kiss a classmate's feet.

A campaign of relentless bullying followed, with the family inundated with abusive phone calls and messages, threatening to kill them and calling them 'Jewish dogs'.

The antisemitic bullies, understood to also be children, are now attacking their daughter.

In a message on Instagram, one boy told the girl: 'Go kiss some shoes like your brother'.

'My children were initially reluctant to show me this latest, vicious attack, since they are aware of the toll the last 10 months have taken on me,' their mother, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said.

'This abusive message directed at my daughter is heartbreaking, horrifying and toxic.

'I really had to muster up my inner strength once I got my shock in check not to go to pieces. I keep asking myself: "when will this nightmare just stop?"'

In October, a 16-year-old boy was charged with threatening to kill the Jewish schoolboy and his mother.

The boy has since been pulled out of Cheltenham Secondary College in Melbourne's south-east and now attends a Jewish day school.

His sister, who had also been due to start at the school, is now joining her brother at the Jewish school, as the family have 'no faith' in Victoria's education system to protect their children.

'His retaliation towards me because of the articles made it quite clear that we are under attack for defending our right as Jews to do so.'

'He tried to instill fear by telling us he was at various entrances of our home and the level of violence that would be afflicted on us.'

The mother said she contacted the boy on Instagram and begged him to stop - but he allegedly refused so she silenced her phone and called the police.

She said the abuse continued the next day.

'No sooner did I leave synagogue for an afternoon break, I answered a private number to have three male voices start harassing and threatening me,' she said.

'The worst part was being called a Jewish dog and Jewish c***.'

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the Anti-Defamation Commission, said the family have been 'tortured and harassed'.

He also said it was proof that antisemitism in Victoria is 'out of control'.

'Shame on this merciless bully!' he told Daily Mail Australia.

'It’s clear that there are hateful individual in our schools who are hell-bent on continuing the emotional torture and harassment of this family.

'My heart goes to the victims and to the parents who have suffered terribly over the last year, and who are still carrying the wounds from the vicious abuse they were subjected to.

'This latest episode reinforces the reality that antisemitism in Victorian schools is an "out of control" problem and that being a Jew makes you a target.

'The ADC will be contacting the school of the student who sent this despicable message, and will demand that substantive disciplinary measures are taken. Enough is enough.'

The school denied any responsibility for the foot-kissing incident because it did not take place on school grounds, the mother said.
