Paris - Monday, March 9, 2020, antisemitic inscriptions and swastikas were tagged on posters of candidates for municipal elections in the 16th quarter of Paris .

"In 2020, we are still there," tweeted anger Hannah Sebbah, head of LREM list in the borough, targeted by these tags. On a poster affixed to the electoral panels of his district, one can see several Nazi crosses, on the face of this candidate but also on the torso of Agnes Buzyn, whose family is of Jewish origin.
The poster of LR candidate Francis Szpiner suffered the same fate. The lawyer, also of Jewish origin, was also tagged with the swastika symbol of Nazi Germany. "This can only strengthen our will to fight antisemitism," he tweeted.
The two targeted candidates have received messages of support from many Parisian elected officials, including Anne Hidalgo. The mayor of Paris candidate for his re-election condemned "these cowardly and abject acts".
