Outremont, QC - Below is Viviane Reid description and video of an antisemitic harassment incident in Quebec:
Yesterday, while taking a walk at dawn, I witnessed a
situation of verbal violence and racism. A man, all dressed in black, was
walking on 1160 Van Horne avenue with a pocket lamp.
The man used his lamp on Jewish people and shouted at
them to disperse and that they should be ashamed. He then targeted a single
Jewish man by lighting and screaming.
A group of men then formed to cope with him. The
situation seemed to be getting worse. I took the initiative to film the thing
to show how ugly this fear of the other is.
I called the police and they quickly came to arrest
this idiot.
