Policeman allegedly removed swastika outside Jewish community

Halle - In Hall an investigation is being carried out against a police officer who allegedly kicked a swastika made of pulp in front of a building of the Jewish community and tacitly removed it.

A surveillance camera recorded what happened.

A criminal investigation has been launched against him on suspicion of obstruction of justice, the Halle Police Inspectorate announced on Friday. Disciplinary investigations are also ongoing. The police were transferred to another department.

The officer and a colleague were reportedly sent to the scene of the incident by patrol car on Tuesday night. There the swastika was found on the sidewalk.

Together with a colleague, the policeman reported that he had not noticed anything. Cctv was reportedly analysed and showed the police officer stepping on the pulp hook and changing it after it stuck to his shoe.
