Antisemitic graffiti on the memorial stone to a synagogue in Leverkusen

Leverkusen - In the morning hours of August 26, 2020, Leverkusen citizens noticed the destruction of the memorial plaque on the city memorial on the synagogue square on the corner of Altstadtstrasse and Lessingstrasse in Leverkusen Opladen.

On the plaque of the memorial stone in memory of the destruction of the Opladen synagogue during the November pogroms in 1938, the words “TOT GUT” (GOOD DEAD) were sprayed on in large, silver letters, thus mocking the Jewish victims of National Socialism.
