Lawn of Uman cemetery goes up in flames

Uman - The lawn in the Jewish cemetery in Uman, Ukraine was burned down today (Monday).

Local media reported that the fire occurred in the new Jewish cemetery.

Tensions between Jews and Ukrainian residents of Uman have been high with some of the local politicians strongly condemning Israel for considering to allow this year's Rosh Hashana pilgrimage to go ahead as planned.
