A young man was arrested for desecrating a monument to Holocaust victims in Pushkin

Law enforcement agencies in St. Petersburg have arrested a suspect for desecrating a monument in memory of the Jews, victims of Nazism in Pushkin.

A 16-year-old student from one of the colleges in the city was arrested. He was identified through recordings from CCTV cameras. Investigators believe the young man bought a can of paint and then arrived in Pushkin, where he spray-painted an antisemitic graffiti on the memorial plaque to the monument, "Formula of Sorrow."
