Antisemitic banners displayed in Vaughan

Vaughan, ON - York Regional Police are investigating reports of hate-motivated banners being hung up in Vaughan.

Investigators believe the messages on the banners may be antisemitic, as outlined in a press release issued on Wednesday.

Police say they have responded to four separate incidents in the past two weeks involving banners hung up in various parts of Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue area.

One banner was found on an electrical box in April.

Several other banners were found on a CN train and two billboard signs on May 5 and May 9.

Investigators have released images of the suspects and a vehicle.
