USA - Graffiti scrawled on Chabad of Staten Island

Staten Island, NY
- The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating graffiti scrawled onto the wall of the Chabad of Staten Island last night.

The words “LIFE IS WAR” was written in red spray paint on the building at the corner of Bradley and Harold Avenues, the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information said in a written statement.

Police said a report was made after an individual left the Jewish place of worship at 9 p.m. on Sunday before returning at 8 a.m. on Monday to find the message written on the wall. It is unclear what the message was referring to.

The graffiti was cleared off of the building as of Monday afternoon.
