Germany - Antisemitic phrase in Fürth

- A passerby discovered on a handrail of the Fürther Sevenbogen Bridge the phrase ′′We're going to Poland to spank the Jews" ("Wir fahren nach Polen, um die Juden zu versohlen"). The lettering was at least two meters long.

The sentence is documented, among other things, in a historical photo showing a railway wagon of the Wehrmacht and laughing German soldiers. In 1996, hundreds of neo-Nazis called the parole at a football match between Poland and Germany in a stadium (formerly ′′ Adolf-Hitler-Kampfbahn ′′), which is 1996 kilometers away from Auschwitz.

The sentence is to be understood as a call for destruction of the Jews.
