Ukraine - A menorah in Uzhgorod was thrown into the Uzh River

Uzhgorod - Unknown vandals threw the menorah into the Uzh River. The menorah was installed on the square near the Uzhgorod Orthodox synagogue, which now houses the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.

The act of antisemitic vandalism was discovered today, December 5th. The representatives of the Jewish community called the police.

The United Jewish Community of Ukraine recalls that this is the sixth case of an antisemitic attack on Hanukkiah in Ukraine during the current holiday.
