USA - Antisemitic graffiti reported in prestigious women’s college in Massachusetts

- A swastika and a racial slur aimed at Jews were found in a bathroom at Mount Holyoke University earlier this week, the third reported crime-fighting incident. At the prestigious girls’ school this fall, the New England Anti-Defamation League said on Thursday.

The organization’s deputy regional director, Peggy Shukur, told the AP, was reported to ADL-New England Tuesday by a parent of a student at the school, Peggy Shukur, the group’s deputy regional director. Office, told the Associated Press.

She said it was not clear if the graffiti was in the dormitory bathroom or the bathroom in another building on the South Hadley campus.

An email and voicemail seeking comment was left with a spokesperson for Mount Holyoke.

In October, the ADL received two reports of swastikas and mutters being written in a dormitory bathroom at the school, Shukur said. In at least one case, they were written on a mirror.
